Hi Togehther,

since yesterday the System Center Universe 2016 conference started in Berlin. I’am there too, so i decided to switch to english in my further posts.
But back to topic ….

I’am currently in a session with Thomas Maurer from itnetX. It’s the 3rd session from him i joined. Yesterday started with a session about Whats new in Windows Server 2016, today a session about Whats new in Hyper-V 2016 and currently in a session about Nano Server and Windows Containers. And as you may se, i’am verry interessted ;-).

So here a few quick facts about Windows Server 2016:

• New Hyper-V features like
  • Hot Add Networkadapters
  • Change static RAM while VMs are running
  • PowerShell Direct (!!!! so cool)
• Better Failover Clusters
  • Rolling Cluster Updates
• Nano Server
  • Realy NO GUI!!!!
  • Verry small
  • Sounds beautyfull 🙂
• Storage
  • S2D – Storage Spaces Direct, basically vDisk from Microsoft 😉
  • Storage Replication
• and so much more ….
